Mushroom Biryani


Ingredients:
1 packet mushroom cut into quarters
2 cups basmati rice
2 tbsp ghee/oil
2 cardamom
2 cloves
1 inch cinnamon
Few peppercorns
2 sliced onions
2 tsp ginger garlic paste
1 tsp turmeric powder
3 tsp garam masala powder
2 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp cumin powder
4 slit green chillies
3 tbsp curds
1/4 cup chopped mint leaves
1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
Salt
4 cups water

Method :
Soak  Basmathi rice for half an hour.
Heat ghee in a pressure cooker. Add cardamom, Cloves, cinnamon, bay leaf and peppercorns. Add sliced onion and fry for 2 mins. Add ginger garlic paste and fry well. Add turmeric powder, garam masala powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, green chillies, curds, mint leaves and coriander leaves. Mix well. Add the mushrooms and soaked rice. Mix well. Add the water, salt. Let it boil. Pressure Cook for 15 mins (3 whistles)
