Ingredients:
Quarter kg Prawns cleaned
2 cups basmati rice
6 garlic cloves
Half bunch of coriander leaves
Small piece of ginger
5 green chillies
2 tsp kasoori methi
1 tsp turmeric powder
Salt
2 tbsp ghee/oil
2 sliced onions
2 tsp garam masala powder
Method:
Soak the Basmathi Rice for half an hour. Cook it with a pinch of salt till 90% done. Drain water and spread it on a plate and allow it to cool
Make a fine paste using garlic cloves, coriander leaves, ginger, green chillies and kasoori methi.
Marinate the prawns with the above paste, turmeric powder and salt . Keep for an hour.
In a pan heat ghee/oil. Saute the sliced onions till brown. Add garam masala powder and the marinated prawns. Add a little water and cook till the gravy becomes thick and the prawns are well cooked. Add rice and mix well. Serve with raita
