Egg Pulav

 

Ingredients:
5 boiled eggs (I have used only the chopped egg white. You can use the whole egg. Just put gashes on the egg before adding to the pulav)
2 cups Basmati Rice (soaked for half an hour)
4 cups water
8 peppercorns
1 bay leaf
1 stick cinnamon
3 cloves
2 sliced onions
1 chopped tomato
2 tsp ginger garlic paste
2 tsp garam masala powder
2 tsp tandoori masala powder
2 tsp red chilli powder
Salt
Chopped coriander leaves

Method:

  •  Heat ghee/oil in a pressure cooker. Add peppercorns, bay leaf, cinnamon, cloves. Fry for a  while. 
  • Add the sliced onions and fry till brown. Add chopped tomato and fry till it becomes mushy. 
  • Add the tsp ginger garlic paste and saute. Add  garam masala powder, tandoori masala, red chilli powder and saute. 
  • Add the soaked rice, boiled eggs, salt and water. Bring to a boil. Pressure cook (3 whistles). Garnish with coriander leaves.
