Ingredients:
1 cup green gram
1 cup dosa rice
2 cups grated coconut
15 roasted red chillies
1 tbsp hing powder
Half lemon sized tamarind
Salt
20 colocasia leaves
Method:
- Soak green gram and rice for an hour. Grind it along with grated coconut, red chillies, hing and tamarind. Make a fine paste. Add salt. This paste must be slight salty and spicy.
- Wash and pat dry colocasia leaves. Remove the stem.
- On a clean surface, place the largest leaf upside down. Apply a handful of paste. Place another leaf on top of it and apply paste again. Continue this process with 7-8 leaves.
- Fold the leaves lengthwise. And roll it tightly into a log
- Cut it into one inch pieces and steam it for 30-35 mins. Serve with coconut oil
