Ingredients:
For the marination :
500 gms boneless chicken cut into bite size pieces
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
Salt
1 tsp pepper powder
1 tsp soy sauce
2 tsp cornstarch
2 tsp maida
Oil to Shallow fry the chicken
For the sauce:
Half cup cubed red bell pepper
Half cup cubed yellow bell pepper
Half cup cubed green bell pepper
One large onion cubed and layers separated
6 garlic cloves finely chopped
Half inch of ginger finely chopped
3 green chillies slit lengthwise
3 tsp oil
Salt
3 tsp chilli sauce
3 tsp soy sauce
2 tsp vinegar
2 tsp tomato sauce
1 tsp cornstarch
Coriander leaves to garnish
Method:
- Marinate the chicken with salt, pepper powder, soy sauce and ginger garlic paste for 20 minutes.
- Add maida and cornstarch to the chicken. Sprinkle little water and shallow fry the chicken till it is cooked. Drain on a paper towel
- Heat oil in a pan. Saute the ginger and garlic till brown. Add the onions and green chillies and fry on high heat for 2 minutes.
- Add the yellow, red and green bell peppers, salt and saute for 3 minutes.
- In a small bowl mix the chilli sauce, soy sauce, vinegar, tomato sauce and cornstarch with 2 tsp water.
- Add the above sauces to the pan and stir well. Add the chicken and toss well. Add water if necessary.
- Garnish with coriander leaves
