Ingredients:
For the dal:
1 cup toor dal
1 cup chopped methi leaves
1 cup chopped spinach
1 onion chopped
1 tomato chopped
4 garlic cloves
2 green chillies
Salt
For the seasoning:
2 tsp oil
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds
Half onion chopped
1 sprig curry leaves
4 garlic cloves chopped
Method:
- Pressure cook toor dal, chopped methi leaves, chopped spinach, chopped onion, chopped tomato, garlic cloves, green chillies and water for 10 mins or 4 whistles.
Transfer into a vessel. Add salt and bring to a boil. - Heat oil in a kadai. Add mustard seeds.
- When it splutters, add cumin seeds, onion, curry leaves and garlic. Fry till brown and add it to the dal.
