Ingredients:
3 cups maida
1 cup powdered sugar
3 tsp cardamom powder
1 tsp saffron or yellow food colour
1 cup ghee
Cashew to garnish
Method:
- Mix all the above ingredients except cashew and make a soft dough. Add more ghee if required
- Knead for atleast 15 minutes
- Cover and keep for 2 hours
- Preheat oven to 200 F
- Make small balls and arrange on a baking tray an inch apart
- Top each naan khatai with a piece of cashewnut.
- Bake in oven for 7-8 minutes or till it turns slightly brown and cracks on top. You have to keep checking otherwise it tends to burn at the bottom
