Bhindi Pakoda (Okra Fritters)


Ingredients:
15 Okra
3/4 cup besan/gram flour
1/4 cup rice flour
2 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
2 tsp coriander powder
2 tsp cumin powder
Salt to taste
Water as needed
Oil to deep fry

Method:

  • Wash the Okra. Remove the stem and spread it on a paper towel to dry. 
  • Now cut the okra into thin slices.
  • Mix besan, rice flour, chilli powder, ginger garlic paste, coriander powder, cumin powder, and salt with the okra. Sprinkle little water and mix gently with a spoon. Make sure you do not mash the okra.
  • Heat oil in a frying pan. Drop the okra with the help of a spoon and fry till it turns crisp. Enjoy with tomato ketchup and a cup of tea !!
