Murukku


Recipe Credit- Hebbars Kitchen

Ingredients:

2 cups rice flour
½ cup besan/gram flour
2 tbsp roasted chana dal powder
1 tsp cumin seeds
Pinch of asafoetida
Salt
2 tbsp butter
Water to knead soft dough
Oil for deep frying

Method:

  • Mix all the above ingredients except oil and make a soft dough using required water.
  • Cover it and let it rest for half an hour
  • Heat oil in a pan. Take a chakli press and put the attachment with a single star or multiple stars.Take a small portion of the dough and put it in the press. 
  • When the oil is medium hot press the dough into the oil. Do not overcrowd the pan.
  • Fry the murukku till it turns crisp and golden brown.
