Ingredients :
2 cups bottlegourd grated
3/4 cup milk
3 tbsp ghee
Half cup sugar
1 tsp cardamom powder
Cashewnuts and almonds chopped
Method:
- Heat 1 tbsp ghee in a non stick pan. Add the grated bottlegourd and fry for 2 minutes.
- Add the milk and let the bottlegourd cook. This may take 15 minutes
- Now add the sugar. Keep cooking till it comes together as a mass.
- Meanwhile heat the remaining ghee in another pan and roast the dry fruits till golden brown.
- Add the dry fruits to the halwa and mix well.
- Add the cardamom powder too.
- Serve warm
