Sweet Khichdi


Ingredients:

Half cup chana dal
Half cup lapsy/broken wheat
1.5 cups sugar
1 cup grated coconut
10 cashewnuts
5 tbsp ghee
3 tsp cardamom pdr

Method :

Dry roast chana dal in a kadai till it turns a little brown. Cook chana dal and broken wheat in a pressure cooker with enough water (4 whistles)
Transfer in a big kadai add sugar and cook till sugar dissolves completely and the mixture becomes thick. Then add grated coconut (If u want the khichdi to be thick then add more coconut) and ghee and cardomom pdr. Bring to a boil. Garnish with fried cashews. (I add the cashews in the pressure cooker itself while cooking chana and lapsy)
