Prawns Hunan


I learnt this recipe from my dear mother who is an amazing cook. Whatever cooking i know today, i owe it to her. She is a master chef. Infact most of the recipes in my blog are from her. Thank u dear amma (Latha Shenoy)

Ingredients:
Half kg prawns
3 tbsp corn starch 
2 tbsp maida
3 tsp soy sauce + 2 tsp soy sauce for gravy
Salt
Oil for frying and 2 tsp for the gravy
3 tbsp chopped garlic
2 kashmiri red chillies sliced
2 tbsp tomato sauce
2 tbsp chilli sauce
2 tsp vinegar
1 tbsp cornstarch slurry (Dissolve 1 tsp cornstarch in 2 tsp of water)
1/4 cup Spring onion greens 

Method:
Wash the prawns and apply cornstarch, maida, salt and soya sauce and deep fry. Keep aside.
Heat oil in a pan and saute chopped garlic. Add red chillies, 2 tsp soya sauce, tomato sauce, chilli sauce and vinegar. Add in the cornstarch slurry and let it boil till the gravy becomes thick. Add the prawns, salt, and spring onion and serve with fried rice or noodes
