Kashi Halwa (Ashgourd Halwa)


Ingredients:
3 cups grated ashgourd
1 cup sugar (Increase or reduce as per taste)
1/4 cup ghee
2 tsp cardamom powder
1/4 cup cashews fried in ghee

Method:

  • Put the grated ashgourd in a pressure cooker and cook it for 1 whistle
  • Transfer the cooked ash gourd in a non stick kadai and fry it till it becomes dry.
  • Then add the sugar and cook till the mixture becomes dry again and turns slightly brown. 
  • Add the ghee, cardamom powder and cashews. Mix well.
  • Cook for another 5-7 minutes and serve hot.
