Murgh Makhani


Ingredients:

    Half kg chicken cut into small pieces
    Salt
    Half tsp turmeric powder

To grind to a smooth paste :
    2 tomatoes
    1 onion
    6 kashmiri red chillies
    2 green chillies
    Half inch of ginger
    6 garlic flakes
    3 cloves
    Half inch of cinnamon
    10 cashews

2 tbsp butter
2 tsp garam masala
1 tsp sugar
Salt
2 tsp crushed kasoori methi
2 tbsp cream

Method:

  • Marinate the chicken with salt and turmeric powder and keep for half an hour
  • Grind all the ingredients mentioned under 'to be ground' into a fine paste.
  • Heat butter in a kadai. Add the ground paste and fry till butter leaves the sides of the kadai.
  • Add garam masala and fry again. 
  • Add the marinated chicken, water and cover and cook till done. Check for seasoning. 
  • Add crushed kasoori methi and cream. Mix well and serve hot with rice or phulkas
