Ingredients:
3 cups Raw jackfruit cut into bite sized pieces
3 tsp Urad dal
2 tsp coriander seeds
1 cup grated coconut
Marble sized tamarind
7 round red chillies roasted
2 tsp mustard seeds
1 sprig curry leaves
Salt
3 tsp oil
Method:
Pressure cook the raw jackfruit (2 whistles).Drain the water. Allow it to cool. Add salt and mash it a little with your fingers.
Roast urad dal and coriander seeds in a little oil till brown. Keep aside
Coarsely Grind grated coconut, tamarind, red chillies, and the roasted urad dal+coriander. Do not add much water.
Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and curry leaves. Add the ground masala and fry for 5 mins. Add the jackfruit. Check the seasoning (salt). Add water if u do not like it much dry
