Ingredients:
For the masala:
15 Kashmiri red chillies
1 tsp coriander seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds
5 garlic flakes
a small ball of tamarind.
Other ingredients:
Lady fish -4
Salt
2 tsp- coconut oil
1 chopped onion
1 sprig curry leaves
1/2 tsp chopped ginger
Coriander leaves to garnish
Method:
Grind the Red chillies, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, garlic and tamarind into a very fine paste. You can store this in the refrigerator for a month.
To prepare the masala fry marinate the fish wth salt and 1 tsp of the masala paste for half an hour,
Heat oil in a pan. Add curry leaves, ginger and chopped onion, Fry for a minute. Add 4-5 tsp of masala paste again and half cup of water. Let it boil. Put the marinated fish. Cover and cook till done. Garnish with coriander leaves.
