Ingredients:
1 cup white peas
2 tsp oil
1 sprig curry leaves 10 garlic cloves
1 small onion chopped
1 tomato chopped
3 green chillies chopped
2 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
2 tbsp ussal powder or 1 tbsp garam masala powder
Half tsp coriander powder
Half tsp cumin powder
Salt
Coriander leaves
Method:
Soak white peas for 4-5 hrs and then pressure cook it till soft.
Heat oil in a pan. Add curry leaves, garlic. When garlic turns brown, add the onion and fry till translucent. Add tomato and green chillies and fry till the tomato becomes mushy.Then add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, ussal powder or garam masala powder, coriander powder and cumin powder. Mix well. Add the cooked white peas, salt, water and bring to a boil. Garnish with coriander leaves
