Ingredients:
1 cup raw rice
1/4 cup toor dal
1/2 cup grated coconut
1/2 cup beaten rice (washed)
Jaggery as per taste
Pinch of Salt
Half tsp Cardamom powder
Oil to deep fry
Method:
- Soak raw rice and pav toor dal for an hour.
- Grind it with grated coconut, beaten rice and jaggery into a fine paste. Add very little water and make a thick batter.
- Add salt and cardamom powder to this batter.
- Heat oil in a frying pan. Drop a ladleful of this batter gently into hot oil and deep fry till brown and crisp. Carefully press the eriappa between two ladles to remove the oil and then drain it on a paper towel.
