Ingredients:
1/4 kg yam
1 cup grated coconut
5 roasted red chillies
Marble sized tamarind
2 tsp coriander seeds
1 chopped onion
1 chopped green chilli
Salt
3 tbsp oil
Method:
- Chop yam into small pieces. Apply salt and keep for 15 mins. Squeeze out the water.
- Heat oil in an iron kadai. Add the yam and saute till crisp.
- Grind grated coconut, roasted red chillies, tamarind and coriander seeds into a coarse paste. Do not add water.
- Remove the ground paste in a bowl. Add chopped onion and chopped green chilli to it. Mix well. Add the yam just before serving. Add salt only if required.
