Ingredients:
1.5 cups all purpose flour
1 and 1/4 cup curds
Salt
Half tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp sugar
3 tsp oil
3 tbsp melted butter
3 fat cloves of garlic minced
2 tsp coriander leaves chopped
Method:
- Mix the maida, salt, baking soda, baking powder and sugar in a large bowl. Add curds and mix well. Knead the dough. Add more maida if the dough is very sticky. Knead a soft dough. Add the oil and knead again. Cover and keep for 15 minutes
- Mix the butter, garlic and coriander leaves
- Take a lemon sized ball of dough and roll it in oval shape. Apply water on one side of the naan and place it on the tawa (water side down). Cook it for 3-4 minutes
- Apply the butter-garlic mixture on the naan and flip the tawa directly on the flame. Hold it till the naan turns golden brown. Alternatively you can flip the naan on the tawa itself and cook it.
- Remove on a serving plate and apply more butter if needed. This naan goes very well with Butter chicken, Chicken Mughlai, Egg Butter Masala, Paneer Tikka Masala
