Chicken Hunan


Ingredients:

Half kg chicken Breast cut into strips
2 tbsp corn starch 
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
1 tsp chilli powder
2 tsp soy sauce 
Salt
Oil to shallow fry

   For the Gravy
2 tsp oil
3 tbsp chopped garlic
2 kashmiri red chillies sliced
4 tbsp tomato sauce
2 tbsp chilli sauce
2 tsp vinegar
1 tbsp cornstarch slurry (Dissolve 1 tsp cornstarch in 2 tsp of water)
1/4 cup Spring onion greens 
Salt to taste
2 tsp roasted white sesame seeds

Method:

  • Marinate the chicken strips with corn starch, ginger garlic paste, chilli powder, soy sauce and salt. Keep it for an hour. Heat oil in a non stick pan and shallow fry the chicken till done. You can also deep fry the chicken
  • To make the gravy, heat oil in a wok. Fry the chopped garlic. Add the red chillies and saute for a minute. Now add the tomato sauce, chilli sauce, vinegar. Fry for a minute
  • Now add the cornstarch slurry and make gravy with desired consistency
  • Now add the cooked chicken and toss well. Check for salt. Add the spring onion green and sesame seeds.
