Pineapple Pudding / Sheera


Ingredients :

1 cup fine semolina
Half cup chopped pineapple
1 cup water
1 cup milk
Few strands of saffron soaked in milk for half an hour
2 tbsp chopped cashew
1 tbsp raisins
Quarter cup ghee
1 and half cups sugar (Increase or decrease as per taste)
1 tsp cardamom powder

Method:

  • Mix water and milk and keep it in a sauce pan to boil on a medium flame
  • Roast the dry fruits in little ghee and keep aside
  • Heat the remaining ghee in a non stick pan. Fry the semolina till it slightly changes colour and gives out a nice aroma
  • Now add the boiled water+milk and keep stirring so that there are no lumps formed.
  • Add the pineapple and cover and cook for 5 minutes
  • Now add the sugar and mix well. 
  • Add the dry fruits, saffron and cardamom powder
  • Cover and keep on a low flame for 5 minutes. Serve warm
