Garlic Naan (With Yeast)


Ingredients:
1 tsp active dry yeast
1 cup all purpose flour
3/4 cup wheat flour
1 and a half tbsp oil
Half cup lukewarm water
1/4 cup lukewarm milk
2 tsp sugar
Half tsp salt
1 tsp garlic paste

Topping:
4 garlic minced
2 tsp white or black sesame seeds
Melted butter
Coriander leaves to garnish

Method:

  • Add sugar and yeast to lukewarm water and let it sit for 10 minutes in a warm place.
  • Add milk, wheat flour, all purpose flour, salt, garlic paste and oil to the yeast mixture and knead a soft dough.
  • Coat a big bowl with little oil and keep the dough in it. Cover with a plastic wrap or damp towel. Leave it to rise in a warm place until it doubles (1-2 hours)
  • After 1-2 hours, knead it again for 5 minutes.
  • Divide the dough into equal portions and roll out each portion into oval shape.
  • Sprinkle sesame seeds and roll again gently
  • Mix butter with minced garlic and coriander leaves
  • Place the rolled naan on a heated skillet and and let it cook till tiny bubbles show on the naan. Flip the naan and place it directly on the gas flame until it is slightly brown. Remove on the plate and apple the butter-garlic-coriander leaves mixture
