Mixed Lentil Dosa


I got the recipe of this healthy dosa from my aunt Prabha Vaman Bhat. However, I made few changes to the original recipe. As this dosa has onions, green chillies etc, we had this dosa with tomato ketchup. This tastes good with chutney too.

Ingredients: 
1 cup urad Dal
1 cup chana dal
1/4 cup moong dal
1/4 cup Moong/ green gram
1/4 cup toor dal
1/4 cup dosa rice
Salt
1 inch piece of ginger chopped
4 green chillies
1 tsp Hing powder
2 small onions finely chopped
1/2 Chopped coriander leaves

Method:

  • Wash and soak urad dal, chana dal, moong dal, moong, toor dal and rice for 4 hours.
  • Grind it to a smooth paste with ginger and green chilli. This batter doesnt need fermentation
  • Add salt, hing, onions and coriander leaves to the batter and make thin dosas and fry on both sides.
  • Serve with tomato ketchup or chutney
